Hi! I'm Juliann (but call me Annie!), and I'm a journalist with experience reporting on international, national and state politics. I'm a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where I specialized in politics, policy and foreign affairs, and I've been chasing down lawmakers on Capitol Hill and in state legislatures ever since. 

As a storyteller and traveler at heart, I like to find ways to tell stories that honor the humanness in each one and examine how power impacts people — whether that's through a person's unique perspective or an interesting angle that hasn't been explored yet. My reporting has taken me across the U.S. — from the steps of Capitol Hill in Washington, to a little-known rural town between Texas and Louisiana, and, most recently, to the West Coast.
